The Authority urges private HEIs to present a letter of evidence confirming that they are not re-registering

The Education and Training Authority has announced a list of 102 private higher education institutions (HEIs) that have not re-registered according to the specified timetable.

The authority urges those institutions that have not registered as part of the re-registration document collection schedule to notify the authority’s office in writing from October 28 to November 2, 2024, explaining the reasons for their failure to re-register on time.

According to Article 2(11) of private HEIs Licences in Ethiopia, any institution that does not apply within the specified time limit will be deemed to have voluntarily terminated its teaching license with the authority and will forfeit that license. The list includes institutions that have closed or are in the process of closing.
