Ethiopian Universities registration dates for first year Students

Ethiopian public universities have called first-year/freshman students who have passed the university entrance exam and placed at public universities by the ministry of education for the 2024 academic year in the undergraduate degree programs.

Undergraduate freshman program students and other students who passed the remedial exam in the 2023/24 academic year will join the public universities in the country. However, students who have been placed for the remedial program for the 2024/25 academic year are not included, and they will join universities after the freshman students’ entry. 

When students come for registration, they have to bring their 9^th to 12^th grade transcripts, Entrance Exam Certificate, an original and a non-returnable photocopy of their 8^th grade card, eight (8) 3×4 passport-sized photographs, pillowcases, sheets, blankets, and sports materials.
The tables below show the 24 universities and other institutions with their specific registration dates only since others are not announcing yet. The registration dates are presented in ascending order.
